Services Offered

1. Letter Mail

The Letter Mail Service covers the traditional mail. The categories of such items, the maximum weight and dimensions of each category are shown in the table below.

The mission of these items abroad can be done either by air or by surface mail airborne system (Surface Air Lifted - SAL).

Objects in a cylindrical shape		Length plus twice the diameter of 1.040 mm. The larger dimension not exceeding 900 mm.	Length plus twice the diameter of 170 mm. The largest dimension of not less than 100 mm.

2. Packages

The Service Package covers the parcel, freight and other items both in Cyprus and abroad, due weight or dimensions cannot be sent with the Letter Post. More details about shipping methods samples, maximum weight and dimensions are shown in the table below with the caveat that they differ from country to country. The parcel service is supported by a special monitoring and tracking objects (track and trace) with instant access to citizenship through the Department's website, for the most foreign countries.

2.2. Parcel24 service

The service offers Parcel24 the public with 24 hour access , 7 days a week for delivery parcel service object EMS / Datapost, and other postal items through vending boxes and sending notices to receive the objects through SMS.

Details are provided at the local Post Offices or Call Centre , which are listed in Annex / Useful Info.

3. International courier service EMS / Datapost

To quickly send urgent items ( letters and parcels ) abroad and their safe delivery , the Cyprus Post offer citizens the International courier service EMS / Datapost.

The International Courier EMS / Datapost offers:

• Customer Service in 57 Post Offices throughout Cyprus

• Delivery with special distribution at his address within 24 to 48 hours from the arrival of the objects in the destination country (during working days)

• Transmission by priority missions in 128 countries

• Specific monitoring and tracking of objects (track and trace) with instant access to citizenship through the Department's website, www.cypruspost.gov.cy and call centers at 77778013 for most foreign countries

• Delivery of incoming items the same day or at the latest the next working day, depending on the time of arrival at the airport

• Discounts of up to 25% regular customers, free special folders of Service, Pickup at their premises and ability to pay postage at the end of each month

Maximum weight for each object: 31.5 Kg. Maximum dimensions: Length 1.5m , length + girth of 3m . The maximum weight and dimensions may differ from country to country. More details are included in the postal invoice and a special brochure, which you can obtain from local Post Offices.

4. Advertising Mail

For customers that they post a large number of objects, such as letters , brochures , magazines , etc. , with or without recipient's address , offered the following mail services:

Distribution of promotional items without Addressed

The Cyprus Post distributes promotional items without recipient's address , such as forms , brochures, samples and other small objects at all premises nationwide or selected areas or private mail boxes at very low prices and short time, depending on the customer's wishes .

Posting articles marked ''postage paid'' (interior and exterior)

Items posted at regular intervals and quantity 1,000 or more, may, instead of stamps bear the imprint '' postage paid '' after authorization by the Director of Postal Services.

In case of regular and large customers , the fees can be paid at the end of each month, by special arrangement.

Service responsive objects (interior and exterior)

Persons wishing to receive answers from their clients without being a financial burden on the postage , they can use the service responsive objects (internal and external).

5. Special services

Valid for all postal items including packages and foreign air and surface (SAL), as appropriate . For registered and insured items running track and trace objects (track and trace) with instant access to citizenship through the Department's website , for most countries abroad and within.

Registered items

All items letter mail can be sent registered mail , that guaranteed a fixed amount against the risk of loss , theft or damage . Evidence for this is given to the shipper at the time of filing.

Registered items for delivery to the same recipient

Delivered only to the addressee indicated in the subject, at the request of the sender. Bear a stamp with the words ''PERSONAL DELIVERY''.

Items with a receipt A.R. (Advice of Receipt)

The sender of registered or insured item , package or financial requirement may be requested shipment receipt of the object, which is signed by the recipient or another authorized person.

Items with a declared value (insured)

For letters and packages content value provided insurance to the value declared by the sender, provided that is not greater than is greater than the actual value of the contents.

Urgent items

These must necessarily bear a special label indication urgency or '' EXPRESS'' and have priority in their delivery.

Withdrawal or modification inscription

This service allows the sender to remove an item or change your address, if not yet delivered.

Items for delivery COD (Cash on Delivery)

With this service, the Post Office takes to recover from the recipient the value of the content of the object and the corresponding postage on behalf of the sender. Currently available for Greece, Italy and France.

Further promotion of postal items

In case of change of residence or place of employment, each applicant may request that the correspondence delivered to the new address for a period of up to three months after completing Form TY 1 is available on the website of the Department and pay the fee in stamps.

International Stamps Reply

International Response Stamps sold to people from all Post Offices and can be exchanged at any country with stamps representing the minimum prepayment air letter.

Private Post Office Boxes (P.O. Box)

Renters P.O. Box may receive their mail over the course of 24 hours. The P.O. Box rented to people from almost all Post Offices. Further, through the portal of the Cyprus Post enables citizens to identify and rent available P.O. Box at any Post Office to renew their rent, and to request other services relating to P.O. Box.Payment is made using the customer's credit card.

Prepaid postage with private machines

These machines can be used by private companies for the prepayment of postage of mail and parcels intended for posting by special permit, which is granted by the Director of the Department of Postal Services.

Prepay postage with departmental machines

In case of a large number of objects instead of Paste stamps, citizens can serve on departmental machines prepay postage . A fee is against formal proof.

6. Stamps and Philately

The main objective of Stamps and Philately is the continuous improvement of the Cyprus stamp, the implementation of appropriate philatelic policy. Some of the elements of this policy is the small number of publications and limited quantities of stamps for each version. The Stamps and Philately has published and sells all the Post Offices directory '' Cyprus Stamps 1880 - 2004 History and Culture .'' Notable series Cypriot stamps and objects related to the history of Cyprus stamp out the Postal Museum, located on 3B, St. Savvas str., 1025, Nicosia, tel: 22304711.

Payment can be made by credit card, postal or personal inscriptions or cash.

Orders philatelist products can be made from all Post Offices and through the portal of the Cyprus Post.

Publishing personal / corporate stamp

This double postage stamps bearing on one side the usual display value, while the other party's photo buyer and / or another individual, as well as logo, brand, logo, service or advertisement natural or legal person. The staff / corporate stamp can be used to pay postage or as collector items for promotional purposes.

7. Banking, financial services

7.1 Postal cheques service

The Postal Services Department issue and accept postal orders for payment, with which they can be shipped safely sums abroad and within. The abroad postal cheques by and for the countries that offer this service and sent registered and express. The postal orders issued by all Post Offices, where all relevant information.

7.2 Money Transfer Service

For sending funds, the Department of Postal Services offers the money transfer service in the form of representation of the company Moneygram. The service is available from all Post Offices.

With this service, the recipient can receive the money within 10 minutes through the extensive service network Moneygram, in over 196 countries.
